2009 marked the 10th anniversary of our extraordinary partnership with Sunshine Foundation: Dreams for Kids. Customers and associates of HomeSense have helped raise over $3.5 million for children with severe disabilities and life-threatening illnesses. The Sunshine Foundation has fulfilled the dreams of over 6,500 children across Canada with the generous support of community partners like HomeSense. Helping women help themselves.
HomeSense has been a dedicated supporter of the Canadian Women’s Foundation since 2005. Through donation programs like Shelter from the Storm, HomeSense customers have been able to raise over $3.4 million to help improve the lives of women and girls nationwide. As one of the largest women’s foundations in the world, CWF aims at ending violence against women, moving low-income women out of poverty, and instilling strength and resilience in young girls. Taking big steps towards a cure.
HomeSense is a proud sponsor of Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national organization dedicated to completely overcoming ovarian cancer. In support of the Winners Walk of Hope, HomeSense helped raise over $4.5 million to fund ovarian cancer research, raise public awareness, and offer support to the wonderful women living with this disease. The Winners Walk of Hope also provides a sense of community for these women, and the same can be said for their loving families and friends.
